Wood Veneer MDF is a new type of decorative material made of MDF as the base material, coated with high-grade wood grain veneer paper or thermal transfer paper with texture, and made through high temperature and high pressure. Wood Veneer MDF combines the texture and color of natural wood with the stability and service life of artificial boards, so it is widely used in decoration.
There are two types of base materials for wood veneer panels: one is natural wood and the other is artificial boards.
1. Natural wood
Wood veneer panels with natural wood as the base material have excellent moisture resistance and moisture resistance, and have the texture, pattern and natural color of natural wood. Commonly used raw materials include walnut, teak, oak, maple, etc. Due to the high price of natural wood, it is relatively less used in decoration.
2. Artificial boards
The advantages of artificial boards are that they are not easy to deform, have good stability and low cost, so they are widely used in the production of wood veneer panels. Commonly used artificial boards include medium density fiberboard (MDF), high density fiberboard (HDF), particleboard, blockboard, etc.
Production process of wood veneer
1. Paper veneer
The production process of paper veneer is mainly to stick the wood veneer paper material on the surface of the substrate and then press it.
2. Thermal transfer veneer
The production process of thermal transfer veneer is mainly to transfer the pattern printed on the thermal transfer paper to the surface of the substrate by heating and pressing.
Application field of wood veneer
The application field of wood veneer is very wide. It can be used in ceilings, walls, floors, furniture and other aspects of interior decoration, and can also be used in display cabinets, dining tables, reception desks, doors and other aspects. In interior decoration, wood veneer is usually regarded as a high-end and luxurious decorative material.
