Particle board, also known as particle board or particle board, is a man-made board made of wood or other wood cellulose materials, which is glued together under heat and pressure after applying adhesive. Particle board has certain strength and stability. It can be used as a veneer substrate, cabinet board, floor pad, stair tread, etc. It is one of the most popular decoration boards. According to the grade, it can be divided into E0, E1, and E2 Particle Board.
Particle board has a uniform structure, good processing performance, and can be processed into large-format boards as needed, which is suitable for making furniture of different specifications and styles. In building decoration, particle board can also be used as a decorative material for walls and ceilings to meet different decoration needs. More importantly, particle board has low cost and low price, which meets the decoration budget of most families.
Furniture particle board is mostly E1 grade particle board or E0 grade particle board. Furniture particle board features a uniform structure and excellent workability, allowing it to be processed into large-format panels as needed, making it suitable for furniture of varying sizes and styles. In architectural decoration, furniture particle board can also be used as a decorative material for walls and ceilings, meeting various decorative requirements.
Particle board thickness typically ranges from 5mm to 40mm, with different thicknesses corresponding to different applications:
1. 5-9mm thin board: Primarily used for low-load-bearing areas such as backboards and drawer bottoms. For example, 9mm is often used for wardrobe backboards, balancing lightness and cost.
2. 12-15mm medium-thick board: Suitable for bookshelves and simple cabinets, with a medium load-bearing capacity (approximately 20-30kg/m²) and requiring a frame.
3. 18-25mm standard board: The mainstream choice for furniture, such as cabinets and desk tops, with a load-bearing capacity of over 50kg/m² (refer to GB/T 4897-2015).
4. Thickened plates above 30mm: used in high-strength applications such as countertops and stair treads, but are heavy and difficult to process.
