OSB Oriented Strand Board is widely used in furniture, construction, packaging, interior decoration and other fields with its unique manufacturing process and excellent physical properties, and is known as the all-round king of man-made boards.
The manufacturing process of OSB Oriented Strand Board involves processing small-diameter wood, thinning wood, wood core and other raw materials into chips of specific sizes through special equipment, and then undergoing processes such as deoiling, drying, gluing, directional paving, and hot pressing. The characteristic of OSB Oriented Strand Board is that the surface shavings and the core shavings are laid vertically and horizontally to form a three-layer structural board embryo, in which the upper and lower surface layers arrange the glue-mixed shavings longitudinally according to their fiber direction, while the core shavings are arranged horizontally. This directional paving method makes OSB board have higher strength in a certain direction, and it is often used to replace plywood as a structural material.
The advantages of OSB Oriented Strand Board include almost zero formaldehyde emission, strong and durable, lighter weight than furniture made of medium-density fiberboard, and better flatness. In addition, due to its excellent physical properties and wide applicability, the application of OSB board in furniture has achieved unprecedented development.
