Its core characteristic is its green core layer, used to visually indicate its superior moisture resistance compared to ordinary MDF.
Features of Moisture Resistant Green MDF Board:
1. Color Identification: The core material of Moisture Resistant Green MDF Board is uniformly green due to the addition of a green waterproofing agent, making it easy to distinguish from ordinary boards;
2. Moisture Resistance: The 24-hour thickness expansion rate of Moisture Resistant Green MDF Board is significantly lower than that of ordinary MDF, improving its resistance to hot water immersion;
3. Mechanical Stability: The internal bond strength is typically ≥1.5 MPa (some reach over 1.9 MPa), and its bending and compressive strength are superior to ordinary MDF, with a low risk of deformation in humid environments;
4. Environmental Protection Rating: Mainstream products meet E1 standards, with no risk of formaldehyde rebound after post-treatment;
5. Processing Adaptability: Moisture Resistant Green MDF Board retains the advantages of MDF in easy carving, milling, and veneer application, making it suitable for high-humidity environments such as bathroom vanities, kitchen countertops, and toilet partitions.
Applications of Moisture Resistant Green MDF Board:
Moisture Resistant Green MDF Board is best used with high-quality edge banding and waterproof finishes, such as melamine-impregnated paper, PVC coating, and water-based paints; otherwise, its moisture-proof advantage is significantly reduced.
1. Custom Kitchen and Bathroom Furniture
Bathroom vanities, shower partitions, kitchen cabinet bodies, and countertop base layers require waterproof finishes.
Avoid prolonged exposure to standing water; suitable for high-humidity but not continuously submerged environments.
2. Partitions and Decoration in High-Humidity Spaces
Dry area partitions in bathrooms, hard panel base layers in hotels/commercial spaces, and feature wall backing.
Wall panels and door panels in damp areas of rainy seasons.
3. Specialized Transportation Vehicles and Industrial Components
Furniture for yachts and RVs; shoe heel materials and flooring substrates, requiring specific thickness specifications.
Laboratory workbenches and industrial equipment shells, requiring moisture resistance and machinability.
4. Sculptural Components
