Plywood for making flush doors are primarily made of three or more layers of veneer laminated and glued together. The outer layer is often made of hardwood for aesthetics, while the inner layer is made of softwood for structural stability. The surface can be covered with a variety of finishes, such as veneer and PVC film. This type of door offers high strength and excellent deformation resistance, as well as outstanding thermal and sound insulation. It is suitable for applications where both decorative and functional features are important, such as home entrance doors and interior partition doors.
Plywood for making flush doors features a crisscross laminated structure, consisting of three or more layers of veneer glued together using a hot-pressing process.
The surface layer is made of hardwood veneers such as maple and cherry, typically 0.5-1.2 mm thick. The intermediate layer is made of softwood substrates such as pine and fir, with a single layer thickness of up to 3-5 mm. The backing material is symmetrically distributed with the surface layer to ensure balanced structural stress. Phenolic or urea-formaldehyde resin is used as a binder during the gluing process, resulting in the finished board’s high strength and stability.
