This standard stipulates that the formaldehyde emission of boards in China is ≤0.5mg/L, the European E0 grade standard is ≤3mg/100g, and the current E0 grade standard in China is formaldehyde content ≤5mg/100g, which belongs to the internationally accepted environmental protection certification level.

E0 Grade MDF Board, E0 grade environmental protection standard is a grading standard system for formaldehyde emission in furniture and decoration materials. This standard stipulates that the formaldehyde emission of boards in China is ≤0.5mg/L, the European E0 grade standard is ≤3mg/100g, and the current E0 grade standard in China is formaldehyde content ≤5mg/100g, which belongs to the internationally accepted environmental protection certification level. The current standard system includes three levels of E0 grade MDF Board (can be used directly indoors, formaldehyde emission ≤0.5mg/L), E1 grade MDF Boards (China ≤15mg/100g and E2 grade MDF Panels (limited to outdoor use). The relevant numerical indicators are clarified in national standards such as “Limits of Formaldehyde Emission in Artificial Boards and Their Products”.
National Standard (GB/T 11718-2009) is divided into: ordinary medium density fiberboard, furniture medium density fiberboard and load-bearing medium density fiberboard.
According to the use, it can be divided into: furniture MDF board, floor substrate, door panel substrate, electronic circuit board, milling board, moisture-proof board, fireproof MDF board and line board, etc.
The commonly used sizes are 1220mm*2440mm and 1830mm*2440mm.
The main thicknesses are: 1mm, 2.4mm, 2.7mm, 3mm, 4.5mm, 4.7mm, 6mm, 8mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25mm, 30mm.
E0 Grade MDF Board features low formaldehyde emissions and is suitable for applications requiring high environmental standards. However, consideration should be given to E0 Grade MDF Board’s moisture resistance and load-bearing capacity.
E0 Grade MDF Board offers outstanding environmental performance: Formaldehyde emissions are ≤0.5mg/L, meeting European environmental standards and ranking among the highest-grade boards on the market.
E0 Grade MDF Board can be customized with a variety of surface treatments, including painting, laminating, and engraving. It is suitable for complex cabinet doors or decorative panels.
Applications of E0 Grade MDF Board:
Furniture: Mostly used in applications such as cabinet doors and decorative cabinets that require high aesthetics but low load-bearing capacity.
Renovation: Can be used as sound-absorbing panels or for architectural decoration, but should be avoided in humid environments.
